    A Mealtime Management Plan will be developed detailing recommendations surrounding your swallowing.

    A formal document outlining your individual positioning needs, safe swallowing strategies, food and fluid texture modifications and mealtime support needs to promote safety, comfort and quality of life when eating and drinking.

  • Speech

    The production of the sounds that make up words.

    Our speech pathologists will identify the underlying cause of your speech difficulties, develop an intervention plan and identify strategies to improve your speech intelligibility.

  • Language

    Expressive- Use of words, gesture, signs or symbols to share information, ideas and feelings.
    Receptive- Understanding and interpretation of the meaning of a message.

    By assessing your language skills and developing an individualised therapy plan, our speech pathologist will identify tools and strategies to support you to understand others and effectively share your thoughts.

  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication

    Can take many different forms, including low-tech options such as sign language, picture communication boards, and symbol-based communication books, as well as high-tech options such as speech-generating devices and computer-based communication systems.

    Our speech pathologists will help identify the most efficient and effective way for you to communicate. This may involve trial of assistive technology, development of a picture-based communication system or learning to use signs and symbols.

  • Voice

    The sound produced by the vocal folds in the larynx when air passes through them during speech.
